Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden cult.
The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
